Ice Bird

It's been a while since I last posted something, so I thought "why not put up a sketch?" I started this one a while back, left it alone, then finished it today. I'll be posting an animation that I was working on soon. Until then, I might put up a few character designs that I've done in the past. :)

Action Sequence - Updated

It isn't done yet, but it HAS been updated since the previous post...
I mostly need to work on the running bits, maybe even completely redo them. I'm pretty satisfied with the flips and jumps, but the running..... definitely needs work.

Since finishing my demo, I've been working on this lil' piece of animationess.
It's the rough version, so I'll be polising it up in the days to come.
I might post the sketches I worked out for this, not sure yet...
There was a lot of sketching going on, to break down the actions... XD

Demo Reel 2011

I finally finished my first demo reel!

Oh and you might happen to see some black spots that randomly appear near the end... Those only appeared after I uploaded my demo to my youtube account, the original video is splotch-free.

On the Spot

Goon is working out with some punches and kicks. I did this so I could get a feel for more physical animations. Obviously still a work in progress. XD

Have no fear! I have another animation that has been completed since I updated my film, but I want to insert it in my demo first. :)




*UPDATE: The last kick is no longer the same. I decided to go with a more effective kick, called the axe kick. You'll get to see it once I tidy up my demo reel. :)

Tune-up!

At last! (...my arm is complete?)
I tweaked and fixed and polished my short film, The Prodigy, some more. And so here it finally is, version 2!
I wanted to leave my film alone for a bit after I finished it in May, so that when I got back to it, I would be able to see things that needed fixing more clearly.
If anyone sees anything else though that could still use some tweaking, please let me know, it will be much appreciated. :)

I've been taking a small break from animation after working on that short, but alas I started up again, with this animation! This version is all in block right now, but I'm currently working on putting it into spline bit by bit.

Short Film!!

At last! My film is complete! So here it is, my short film that I've been working on for a few months.
I'm really happy with what I have achieved within the time that we had to do it in. But I'm going to have to call this version 1, because I'll be polishing it some more and adding more to it in the coming weeks. For now, enjoy my first film! :D

The Prodigy Excerpt

At long last, a sneak peek at my short film!! It's currently a work-in-progress, but it's getting there. Here is a 4-second clip from the very beginning of my film. I've done a couple of passes on it already, but it's not finalized yet. These short films are to be finished by mid-May.

Jumpy Jump

So this is a flash animation that I did in my first semester here at Dawson.
The point of this project was to make a character (of your own design) jump, but the character had to have a tail of some sort to include a wave motion in the jump.

Lo' and behold, I made this creepy smiling frog character.... Enjoy! :D
